WELCOME TO YESHIVA ATERES SHMUEL OF WATERBURY

In Waterbury Connecticut, Yeshiva Ateres Shmuel is the chief architect and implementer of a multi-fold program of historic import.

From 400 students, kindergarten through post graduate students from throughout the world, the yeshiva projects to grow exponentially as we accommodate the ever increasing enrollment demands.

The Yeshiva’s exceptional and unique approach inculcates in their students a deep love of and commitment to Torah and the Jewish people. The Yeshiva’s mission is not limited to one location rather it participates in the growth and development of the Connecticut communities at large. In fact, one of the nation’s most successful college outreach programs is in Connecticut at Yale University under the Yeshiva’s leadership. Every week various Yale students explore their Jewish heritage and experience a Shabbos in a traditional setting in Waterbury.

Since its inception, the Yeshiva has served as a magnet, attracting more than 150 young families to Connecticut. “Jewish life is being revitalized and communal life is being enriched because of the Yeshiva” says Allen Stein, an old time Connecticut resident.

Members of the Yeshiva community are now preoccupied in expanding housing, developing job opportunities, increasing social services and enhancing the educational facilities in order to build the model Connecticut community for generations to come.

From a dream and vision a short 10 years ago to a massive institution and movement today, (Waterbury) Connecticut is the home of the future. It is no wonder why so many of their talmidim choose to make Connecticut their home.
